Welcome Back

Good morning and welcome back!

A few bits of info to help us start back on the right foot:

Absence: This is something we will be focusing on again this term. If children are well enough to be in school and do not have a contagious infection they should be in school. If your child needs medication to get them through the day when they are a bit under the weather ie a cold or toothache etc you can hand paracetamol into the school office and sign a form allowing us to give the medicine as and when needed. For more illness advice please follow this link: Child Health Advice

Opening times: The school gates will be open and manned from 8.40-8.55am each morning, this allows to children to arrive and settle in class before the start of the school day at 9am.

PE Kits: These should be brought to school on a Monday morning and left in school for the half term, if you choose to do so you can take it home on a Friday to wash and return it each Monday. If they are particularly sweaty or dirty they will be sent home as necessary.

Field kits: Should be brought in and taken home on the day it is needed,

THURSDAY - RECEPTOIN & YEAR 1,

FRIDAY - YEAR 2 & YEAR 4,

Year 3 are not doing field this term as they will be swimming every Wednesday.

School dinners: Our new menu starts today with over 75% of children enjoying a school dinner. The dinner cost for Year 3 & 4 children has increased slightly to £2.20 a day. Although Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 children receive a free school meal, I would encourage anyone in receipt of any of the follow to apply for benefit related ‘Free School Meals’ as this also entitles you to free milk & swimming as well as subsidised trips etc: Free school meals are available to pupils in receipt of, or whose parents are in receipt of, one or more of the following benefits: Universal Credit (provided you have an annual net income of no more than £7,400. This is assessed by earnings from up to three of your most recent assessment periods), Income Support, Income-based Job Seekers Allowance, Income related Employment and Support Allowance,Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999, The guarantee element of Pension Credit, Child Tax Credit (provided you are not entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190), Working Tax Credit run on (Paid four weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit).

Contact Details: If you have moved house or changed phones recently please ensure we have you up to date contact and emergency contact details.

If you have any question about any of the above please get in touch.

Thank you

Mrs Hodgson
